This is, by far, my favourite episode from series two. In fact, I might even be my favourite ever episode of TW. It changed everyone's opinions and left us with one hell of a feeling of dread, and I love it. So you'll have to forgive this post for being overly long!

Jack/Tosh - my second favourite hunting team. Actually, my second favourite anything you want to pair them up for! I adore them together.



The "oh shit!" moment! I was sobbing into a pillow at this point. I remember sitting there actually sobbing - you know how it is coming up to the end of the series, and by then we knew all about the Tosh and Owen rumours. :(

And yes, I know I'm missing Owen but I couldn't find a cap.



My poor Jack *huggles him* Even in death, he's bloody gorgeous.

You know, I still find it funny that he's the only one who actually dies from the bombs. Little note to TPTB: Just because he can die, doesn't mean he should!!

I hate that Jack was ever put in that situation. Bastard Doctor. When he says "he left me behind!" I really want to do some damage to that bloody Time Lord, then snuggle Jack. He killed himself for him! He put himself between an army of Daleks and the Doctor and that's what he gets in return?! It's so very terrible, there just aren't any words.



Just where exactly is she grabbing?!



Best laugh in the world!



"I'm Torchwood!" - Still makes me want to punch the air!



Gosh, I love the tension between those two! I always get the feeling that she is imagining what he would look like with his skin off when she looks at him!

The return of the slightly creepy tarot card girl. Did we ever work out if she was Faith or not??

I do love the way he says "no, thank you. No really".



I get such a thrill from that montage. It gives me goosebumps.



Not the New Year's Eve he was expecting. The poor darling. It's a wonder he's still sane. I don't really know how I thought he came to be in charge, but it certainly wasn't anything like that. I would love to know what Alex saw - Saxon/Master?? Daleks??

I fucking hate what UNIT did to her. I have this silly little fantasy that Jack called Alister and had him pull a few strings, then they seriously gave them a kicking!! It gives UNIT a bad name!!

One of the few times I want to throttle Jack. Stop fucking around and get her out of there already. She's been through enough.

Is it just me, or does Jack sound just a bit frantic when he's calling out for him??

Yes, it's a bloody brilliant brilliant scene but oh so sinister! That he would have heard all the stories about Jack and is using them (seriously, the rent boy outfit?! But damn, it looks good!) to get into Torchwod. No I was not tempted to say Jack then ;) It's just sinister. But damn it, if it's one thing we've found out this series - Gareth does sinister bloody well!



"By the way, love the coat!" - ♥♥

Ianto's backstory certainly threw a curve ball in there, didn't it??



"I really like that coat!"

I love Jack's reaction here. This was more amusement, whereas the first time was pure annoyance. Interesting.



I always thought this meeting came much later than the other two, with more in between. Jack's just about come to the end of his rope with Ianto. You can hear the venom when he says "I'm gonna drive through you!"



"It's quite excitable!"
"Must be your aftershave."
"Never wear any."
"You smell like that naturally?"
"51st century pheromones. You people have no idea." - ♥♥

I can never work out why Jack's being so un-naturally open about himself here.



"So you'll let the pterodactyl in but not me?!" - Aw, bless! If I didn't know better, I'd say he was slightly jealous. But I do, so I won't.



"I've got a secret weapon, chocolate, preferably dark." - ♥♥

I'm not even going to question why, or even how, he knows that. He's Ianto, he knows everything!

Gareth, you absolute genius you!

Poor Ianto, he really is in way over his head. For the first time he sees Jack as Jack and not as he way of getting into Torchwood and saving Lisa. Is everyone familiar with the film Entrapment?? There's a line Sean Connery's character has in it that I think suits Ianto in this down to a tee! -

"Believe me, I was prepared for everything - except you."



After pulling Ianto from the rubble and fixing his shoulder - that wasn't the first time you asked him if he could that it, is it Jack? ;) - he puts his hand over Ianto's heart. Aw!



*shudders* That make me jump something terrible!



That scene was heartbreaking. It's so much more scary because it's something real and something terrible and there is nothing you can do. Poor Owen.



One thing, or many, I love about Jack is that he's prepared to do what needs to be done.



Move over JB and GDL, Burn stole my heart in this!



He is so handsome!

You can see Jack preparing himself for a fight there. He knows what's coming.



Owen doing what we've all wanted to do at one time or another... lay on top of Jack ;)
